Ensure a Secure, High-Speed Connection with Cat6 Plenum Shielded Cable

Every house, office, and SME needs wired ethernet access to run operations smoothly on a daily basis. With the increase in gigabit speed, there are more challenges that a cable cat6 accepts either sending large files or fetching data from data centers.  Cat6 plenum shielded cable is an advanced solution for high-class ethernet cabling installation and for the desired environment. The cat 6 plenum shielded cable is a secure cabling solution in order to minimize the additional forces outside or within the field. The gigabit speed and pure copper conductor make bulk CAT6 shielded cable more aggressive towards fast ethernet applications.

High-Speed Connection with Cat6 Plenum Shielded Cable

Cat6 Cable Internal Structure

In simple words, the Cat 6 shielded cable is bulkier in nature and is quite heavy with respect to its UTP variant. Though the internal anatomy of the Cat6 shielded plenum cable consists of 8 color wires. These wires are actually the core part of the cable through which the data travels from one medium to another. So, how is it done? The 8 separated copper conductors are twisted according to their color scheme. After adjoining 2 wires according to their color scheme form 4 twisted pairs. This is the main part of the ethernet cable which allows electrical signals to pass at a maximum speed to maintain the throughput. Additionally, inside the cable, there is a rip cord and a spline that helps in minimizing the pair crosstalk. In the cat6 plenum cable, the twisted pair are tight so hard that they cancel the signal interference. Also, alien crosstalk (AXT), and near-end crosstalk (NEXT) provide the best results.

Transmission Speed Of Cat6 Plenum Cable

Cat6 shows quite enhanced speed specifications – gigabit (1 Gbps). Here, ethernet wire can be used for two lengths specifications — long and short. For longer lengths (100 meters) the speed of the cat6 shielded cable is 1 Gbps and at a distance of 50 meters, the speed of the cat6 is 10 Gbps. The Cat6 cable can be used for longer runs due to its high-speed ratings. Cat6 bare copper cable offers excellent transfer speed and no electrical resistance. So you will get maximum speed and data transfer speed.  Furthermore, the cable is in compliance with ANSI/TIA 568-C.2 and also RoHS verified. This indicates that the cable meets industry standards and can be used for installations in commercial, residential, and industrial setups. Some of the major benefits of using cat 6 shielded cable are described below.

  • Cat6 plenum shielded performance
  • The presence of an additional insulation layer (F/UTP)
  • Optimal safety
  • Superior signal quality
  • Easy termination using RJ45 connector
  • High bandwidth
  • Durable plenum jacket
  • Various length options

What is a Shielded (STP) Cat6 Ethernet Cable?

Ethernet cables are secured by preventing them with an additional insulation layer called a shielded twisted pair. This shielding in the Cat6 plenum is mostly denoted as F/UTP Where F = Foil and STP = shielded twisted pair. The acronym defines that the entire wire is foil shielded and the twisted pairs are without any shielding. The shielding in the cable helps to prevent the cable’s signal transmission from outside signal noise EMI and RFI. The shielded cables can be installed in complex wiring structures where they show maximum security in terms of outside interference.

  • With the help of shielded cables, you will get maximum speed
  • Strengthen the cable.
  • Enhance signal strength
  • Minimal data degradation

Plenum Jacket Ratings For Cat6 Shielded Cable

The plenum is the safest jacket and chemically it is made up of FEP-rated material. (Fluorinated Ethylene Polymers) are rated as the highest flame retardant material which restricts flame progression to a minimum and also emits non-toxic smoke. It is also called LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogens).

Where To Install Cat6 Shielded Plenum Cable

The plenum cable is mostly installed in horizontal spaces of the building which includes air ducts, drop ceilings, above raised floors, and also in non-plenum spaces of the building. Therefore, while installing cat6 shielded cables make sure to measure the desired length of the cable to avoid any wrong installation.  As the Cat6 shielded plenum cable is thick and bulky it is not easy to install this cable in a single go. Either you have to appoint a cable expert or you should be smart enough to install this cable as it will resist bending.

High-Speed Cat6 Plenum Shielded Cable

Packaging — Wooden Spool

For user experience, our high-quality CAT6 shielded cable is assembled in China under strict supervision and comes in a wooden spool for easy unrolling. This tangle-free packing saves much of your installation time and effort. After deploying Cat6 plenum pure copper shielded cable you only have to alter your speed specifications provided by your ISP. Later, you can enjoy fast data streaming, PoE applications., 100/1000/10GBASE-T, A/V streaming, Token Ring (Voice Protocol), etc.
